I feel a bit strange asking for a prayer...

Thu, March 25, 2010 12:36:00 PM

From Werner,

I feel a bit strange asking for a prayer request but trust you will understand!

Over the last two years, I have been going through unemployment, sequestration and so many trials in my life and am still not sorted. I have grown both personally and spiritually during and this time and would not trade this for a moment. I do believe that this all happened for a reason and that my true life path will be revealed to me. I have a firm believe that abundance beyond my wildest dreams will enter my life shortly and through the stillness I have developed, I will be lead by God to fulfill His purpose.

I am running out of time, financially and through helping me, my parents are at risk of losing their retirement home.

Therefore, I put in this prayer request that my financial woes come to an end and that I become free to live truth and fulfill my purpose and that my parents be secure in their retirement without the burden of financial worry.
Thank you in advance.
Werner

Dear Werner,
I am sending your prayer request to the School of Truth’s Prayer Group. Rest assured that powerful prayers are being said for you and yours. In the meantime, please say the following affirmation regularly to yourself, and share it with your family.

Is it wrong to buy a lottery ticket?

The following email came to us from Carmen, who says,

"We are discussing at home whether it is right to buy lottery tickets.

I cannot see the problem with only buying one ticket?

This is our reply:

Dear Carmen,

It is not so much the act itself, but the purpose, the mind-set that leads to the act, that is important. If you put a few bob on a horse to have an entertaining interest in the outcome of the race, there is not much wrong with that. But if you back heavily, and desperately, to win, you are looking not to God for your succour, but to something else. In effect, you have then let go of God’s hand. You will be demonstrating that you do not have perfect Trust in your Heavenly Father to supply all your needs.

Friday Meditation - I Work With God's Law

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil…….
1 Corinthians 13:4-5

Here is the formula for personal poise; holding emotions in full control. Then we find patience and kindness at work in one’s affairs. Love is never jealous, grudging, spiteful, never assumes the many forms of envy, or of self-praise, boasting, or hypersensitivity. Love is well proportioned, well fashioned, adding to ordinary decency the positive spirit of graciousness.

Letter from Wenda - How to be Creative

A business man has an idea, he thinks up a way of doing things. He is using the creative Law just as much as an artist who paints a picture. We speak of creative arts and creative people, but we fail to realise that all life deals with creativity.

There is no big or little, no important or unimportant. To the creative Law there is no difference between a child making mud cakes or an engineer building a bridge.
